Beginnings.  Remember when you were just starting out and ready to tackle the world?  Where you lived and where you grew up fed you all of the information that you needed.  When I first met Sybil, she was beyond anything that my mind could have comprehended.  Her strangeness was appealing and I found myself drawn to her.  As we talked and she told me of her life of solitude, I wondered how she could have endured the many years of loneliness.

After a while, I realized that she wasn't lonely.  She had no concept of interacting with others.  How do you explain something to someone when they have no reference to what you are talking about?  As we became better "friends" (for lack of a better word), I realized that we were very much alike.  We both existed in a world that was thrusted upon us and not one of our making.
